Frank B. Baldwin papers, 1919-1972 (bulk 1934-1960).

The Frank B. Baldwin Papers cover the years 1919 to 1972 with the bulk of the material ranging from 1934 to 1960. The papers contain materials relating to the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, both nationally and internationally, Goodyear's astronautical efforts, and the business life and travels of Paul W. Litchfield who served as president and later CEO of Board of Goodyear. The papers would be of value for the study of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, the personal and business travels of Litchfield, and the various functions and products of the astronautical department. The bulk of the collection consists of photograph albums and daily logs from Litchfield's travels to Japan, Italy, Mexico, and his camp site on Lake Temagami (note that the lake experimented with alternate spellings of its name varying from 'Tamagami' to 'Timegami' to the most frequent 'Temegami'). Other photographic materials include negatives from Camp Pinto on Lake Temagami, projector slides of Cape Canaveral, and Kodachrome images of Litchfield Park in Arizona. The papers also contain subject files of various Goodyear related business topics. These include testing papers on Goodyear products, astronautical related papers, papers for specific interest groups including the Lighter-Than-Air and Manned Earth-satellite Terminal evolving from Earth to Orbit ferry Rockets (METEOR) Junior groups, business proposals to the Atomic Energy Commission and the Quartermaster Research and Development Center, and drafts of speeches given by Paul W. Litchfield. Finally, the papers contain one motion picture film, a Goodyear flag, and numerous publications written by or about the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Paul W. Litchfield.
